NYX Shocking Pink

As I have mentioned in every blog post that I published, I always keep on telling on how I'm obsessed with pink and bold lipstick. Well, who could not resist such an adorable color, it screams feminine and sweetness. As I was  browsing some Instagram shops I came through NYX lipsticks and I see that a lot are a bit fond of these brand so I fired up my search engine and look for their most popular shade and I found this NYX Matte shocking pink.

NYX lipstick in shocking pink  MLS02 (0.15oz/4.2g) is in matte finish,  it is a bright pink lipstick with purple undertone. It is highly pigmented and actually creamy. I really like it because it is matte, I really love matte-finish lipstick because their lasting power is commendable. When I wear this lipstick, it can only last for a whole day without the need of retouching. It is easy to apply and glides smoothly on my lips. It doesn't have any particular gloss or sheen in which I personally like.

It doesn't have any particular smell as well but the packaging..ah! the packaging is something that I really don't like.. This is one of the cons with this lipstick I just don't like the packaging. Some bloggers love it but I find it a bit 'cheap-looking.' It is in cylindrical form, covered with black matte plastic with the product description and ingredients written in white, at the middle you will see that it is transparent to personally show the shade of the lipstick. It is very light, really light that I'm actually scared to open it so harshly it might torned into bits and pieces. Seriously, I'm sort of disappointed with the packaging, I really hope they will change this into a better and more presentable one. However, the price is really cheap, I bought it only for P250 so basically it is understandable.

But other than the packaging,everything about this lisptick  is highly recommended; whether you are a fan of brilliant shade lipstick or not, I don't think the price will hurt if you give this one a try.

9.5/10 This is really my most favorite pink lipstick so far because formula-wise it is very opaque and pigmented, and budget-friendly. However, I have bit of issues with the packaging , as far as I want to overlook it but I'm really distracted about it.

The shade is recommended to fairly skin toned girls but I think every girl can sport this shade as long as you wear it with confidence.

Mac Show Orchid

I've been quite obsessed with pink lipsticks lately, in fact all of my last purchases were all pink- from pale to bright pinks. Maybe because, the color really suits for my age and it isn't that heavy to wear all through  day to night. Well, a girl could never go wrong with pink right?

Last February, I made an online shopping for my new Mac lippies. I bought Viva Glam Nicki Minaj and Show Orchid and both of the lipsticks are in bold pink. Honestly, I prefer bold lipsticks than nudes and subtle pinks. I find them boring and hard to pull off since I have morena skin, it is not noticeable when you wear it. I don't want to be a head turner so I just apply a small coat of the lipsticks and tada! I'm all good to go.

I'm very giddy to try Show Orchid and tell you it was love at first swipe! This is my favorite Mac lipstick I have so far, and my most favorite pink lipstick.

Show Orchid has an amplified creme finish. To tell you honestly I really don't know what it means, this is something I have yet to find out. 

One word- showstopper! That is how I describe this gorgeous lipstick. It is a vibrant fuchsia pink with an incredibly subtle sheen. It is indeed highly pigmented and to tell you one swipe is enough. Lasting power is very impressive, I can actually wear it whole day without the need of reapplication. And of course, it still has its Mac's signature vanilla scent which I actually like.

The good thing about this is that this shade is good to sport all year round however, personally this one will totally rock on summer! It's so vibrant and playful and regardless of the skin tone, this one is not that hard to pull off compared to other pink lipsticks I have owned.

9.5/10.  I almost want to give this one a 10 but because it's quite expensive so I just give it a 9.5 instead.

Will I purchase it again? Absolutely! 

If you are a fan of bold, pink lipstick like me this one must be on top of your bucket list. It's a beautiful and very buildable color.

Mac Viva Glam Nicki Minaj

I am not a fan of Nicki Minaj but I admit that everytime I'm watching her videos her bold and vibrant make up always caught my attention and that includes her bright, bold pink lipstick so when I heard about this Mac Viva Glam Nicki Minaj lipstick I started to feel excited about the shade. I  then immediately googled about it and I fell in love with the shade, it is so pretty but too bright. I was so hesitant to purchase it however a friend of mine who is a certified Mac addict recommended this shade and so I gave this one a try plus it's a limited edition. I grabbed the opportunity while it's still available in the market.

The packaging of Mac Viva Glam Nicki Minaj is different from the Mac permanent line of lipsticks. The box has signature of Nicki Minaj in red and the box is in matte black with a Mac logo in red as well as the inner tube and comes with the Nicki Minaj's signature as well. 

The shade is definitely a vibrant pink! Somehow a bright carnation pink. Makeup gurus describe it as cool-toned bright pink with yellow undertone. 

It is a satin finish just like Pink Noveau so it's a bit drying on lips, make sure to have your lips moisturize before applying it. Staying power is not that good, it will only last for 3-4 hours and does not wear off evenly so make sure you always have this beauty tube in your cosmetic pouch. 

It still has its signature vanilla scent just like other Mac lipsticks.

This has to be one of my favorite pink lipsticks ever. I love how this shade can really brighten up my face. It is a very playful and vivid color. They say this one is hard to pull off but I think it's how you carry it and of course with the right application. Maybe, not the everyday kind of lipstick but definitely this one is a scene- stealer, so Nicki Minaj.

I totally love the shade but the lasting power is not good so I gave this one a 9. Will I purchase it again? Absolutely! I am actually thinking of purchasing a back-up. :)

I know this post is long overdue but since our  first wedding anniversary will be next month I have decided to finally make a post about our wedding. The main reason why I am so hesitant in posting this is that I am at lost for words to rhyme my thoughts and feelings about it.


Me and my husband were in a relationship for 8 years of agony and ecstasy, of  love and hurt, of trust and betrayal, of holding on and letting go. Perhaps, there is no need for me to tell tale our love story, the length of time we've been with each other maybe enough to keep you thinking the things that we have been together, that amidst all the storms that we passed we still managed to dance in the rain, and after all the tears that we shed we are still our cheeseball selves. I guess that happens when you fall in love with your best friend, soul mate and your true love; every fight is worth the fight.
